[Beasiswa Kedokteran] MSc in Primary Care
MSc in Primary Care
School of Medicine and Dentistry
The modular MSc and Diploma in Primary Care at Queen Mary aims to consolidate and develop the knowledge of primary care team members. Although based in primary care, the content is relevant to health workers in other fields, particularly those who work at the primary/ secondary care interface. The Department has a strong reputation for primary care-based research. Our health service research programmes focus on: respiratory health (management of asthma and COPD), rheumatological disorders (back pain, osteoarthriosis and rheumatoid arthritis) injury prevention (domestic violence, falls in the elderly and childhood accidents) and management of coronary heart disease.
We are leaders in the development of health service research methods, through a health services research call down unit, and in the evaluation of innovations in primary care and the implementation of clinical effectiveness interventions.
We look for a suitable level of prior academic achievement and/or practical experience of delivering healthcare either personally or in a managerial capacity. This can be shown by a medical, nursing or dental qualification plus relevant professional experience, or a good honours degree plus relevant professional experience. Applicants with other qualifications plus relevant experience, or without professional qualifications but with extensive relevant experience, will be considered. Students whose first language is not English must have a minimum of 7.0 IELTS or TOEFL 610 score.
